TWSBI Eco

Not T…W…S…B…I, but “twizbee”. I first learned about this pen because it kept showing up on every writer’s favorite fountain pens list. It took me a while to finally purchase one. I’m not sure why. But, now it is one of my favorite pens and definitely a 10 on the value line.

The name TWSBI comes from the phrase San Wen Tang (but backwards) and Bi (writing instrument), roughly translated into English as “Hall of Three Cultures Writing Instrument” – so, he can call them “hotkwee”… maybe not. Ta Shin Precision started the TWSBI brand in 2009 in New Taipei City, Taiwan.

TWSBI fountain pens are known for their high quality piston and vacuum fillers. I have read that TWSBI are pens for people who like to tinker with their fountain pens, but I’m not one of those people. I just want the pen to come out of the box ready to be filled with ink and start writing – which is exactly what my TWSBI Eco did. I have a fine point, which writes a little thicker than many of my fine points. So, if you like a fine point Pilot or Platinum, you will probably want an extra-fine nib for your TWSBI.

If you are looking for a piston filler that writes like a dream and doesn’t break the bank, I highly recommend TWSBI. If you have this pen, tell me what you think in the comments below. Buy Here
